My Story

IN MEMORY OF CHRIS HOUGHTON

As many people know, SASH Charity became important to me when Zachary, my 15 year old son, was looked after so well at East Surrey Hospital when he was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes aged 12.

And sadly, on the 9th September 2024, my dad, Chris, passed away in Easy Surrey Hospital. He was a keen (putting it lightly) runner, which is why I signed up very late for the Run Reigate Half Marathon. On 22nd September.

I will also be doing a 160ft bungee jump on 2nd November. Something I've never done before, and something I said I would NEVER do! But it will all be worthwhile to raise important funds for SASH Charity.

I will also be running another half marathon in November around Silverstone Circuit
