- About
Sadly sometimes families experience the loss of a pregnancy or a new baby. When this happens the family are supported by Anne, our bereavement specialist midwife and a small team of specialist colleagues.
Often families going through this devastating experience will stay in the hospital in a private room called the Forget Me Not Room. The room is intended to help people have a private space to grieve and recover whilst being supported by the hosptial team. The experience people have at this moment, can have a lifelong impact.
We want to make this room as comfortable as we can for people going through one of the hardest things any of us will experience.
Donations have recently helped us start to make the space more comfortable with some simple new artworks, furnishings, and a more comfortable bed. The room can however get very hot in the spring and summer months.
With your support we hope to raise the £3250 required to install air conditioning in the room.
This simple addition will be a huge help for families going through incredibly difficult times.
If you would like to help, you can donate on this page directly to this project, or press 'Fundraise for us' above and you can set up a fundraising page specifically to help towards this goal.
thank you.
